Trish Formby
Trish Formby Physio
Trish Formby brings over 30 years of expertise in physiotherapy, movement education, and rehabilitation, all powered by a lifelong passion for staying active. From pirouettes at age three to rocking high-tops and big hair with the Reebok demo team in the '80s, Trish’s journey has always been full of energy, heart, and a deep love for being active.
After completing her physiotherapy degree in Australia and a Master’s in Sports Physiotherapy in 1998, Trish then trained with APPI as a Clinical Pilates instructor and moved to London. There, she opened one of the first clinics to fully integrate manual therapy with Clinical Pilates. Her Kensington practice quickly gained a loyal following, treating everyone from elite athletes, actors and artists to everyday office warriors.
Trish combines her deep knowledge of biomechanics and functional movement with warmth, humour, and a genuine passion for empowering others. Her treatments are carefully tailored to equip clients with the tools, understanding, and confidence to support their own recovery. Committed to education as well as hands-on care, she has also shared her expertise by lecturing at UCL and leading specialist spinal rehabilitation courses.
She knows the rehab road firsthand, not just from sport (she’s a keen skier, cyclist, tennis player, and golfer), but from her own journey through breast cancer. An experience that has only deepened her belief in the body’s incredible ability to heal with the right mix of movement, knowledge, and support.
Today, Trish continues to support those in need with empathy and compassion, guiding her clients through pain and injury. From her boutique home studio, were she also teaches Clinical Pilates and barre - always moving with light, laughter, and flare!
